A presentation copy, inscribed and signed by the author 'Herrn Professor Krips mit freundlichen Grüssen überreicht, Hanns Peter. Dez. '86'. Professor Henry Krips was an Austrian-born composer and long-time conductor of the South Australian Symphony Orchestra. Veröffentlichungen zum Archiv für Völkerkunde, Band 9.

Loosely inserted are typed letter to Krips, also signed by Peter, which mentions the publication of this book (foolscap folio; 2 leaves, printed recos only; in German, dated 27 December 1986). A photocopy of a contemporary review (also in German) is also included. The book and the letter likely did not reach Australia until after Professor Krips had died in January 1987.

Provenance: the anthropologist Peter Sutton, with his contemporary ownership signature. [3 items].
