Jacques Pierre Maygrier (1771-1835) practiced at the Cochin hospital, and at the Hôtel Dieu. He lectured on physiology, anatomy and child-birth, trying to simplify study of the foetal position and methods of delivery (Dezeimeris: 'Historical Dictionary of Ancient and Modern Medicine', 1837).
