Geological Survey of South Australia. Report No. 3. The Yudnamutana Mining Field

Adelaide, Government Printer, 1916.

Octavo, 20 pages with 4 small plans plus 8 plates, 5 full-page plans, a folding plan of the 'Daly or Lyndhurst Mine', and a large folding two-colour 'Geological Map of Yudnamutana'.

Olive-green wrappers a little marked and lightly tanned around the edges; slight loss to the head and foot of the spine; short tear to the large folding map (to the bound-in panel); trifling signs of age and use; a very good copy.

The Yudnamutana Mining Field is in the Northern Flinders Ranges. 'One of the main mines in the Yudnamutana District, the Yudnamutana mine (also known as the Yuda mine) was worked intermittently for copper. Started around 1862, work was abandoned in 1867, then picked up by the Flinders Copper Mining Company (No. 1 Workings) and worked between 1914 and 1918' (Mindat website).
