A group portrait featuring approximately one hundred soldiers in what appears to be the quadrangle of a public building, presumably in England
A vintage gelatin silver photograph (visible image size 190 × 270 mm), recently matted, glazed and framed in period-style (external dimensions 425 × 510 mm); in fine condition.
An unusual grouping, with a variety of cap badges and headgear (Australian, New Zealand and British); the majority of the soldiers sport a white hat-band, indicative of the personnel of an officer cadet unit, of which there over 20 in the UK during the First World War (information courtesy of Garth Pratten, with thanks).
