A colour-pictorial poster (visible dimensions 460 × 700 mm), printed lithographically.

The poster, matted and behind glass in a later period-style gilt-edged wooden frame (external dimensions 665 × 890 mm), has a few light marks and creases, and minor chips and some short tears to a small unprinted area near the top right-hand corner; overall, in very good condition.

The publication details are printed in the bottom margin, now matted out. This is Poster Number 113; the portrait of Kitchener is after a photograph by Bassano.
