18th Battery Field Artillery, 6th Army Field Artillery Bde. Honor Roll. Officers, NCOs & Men. Second Years [sic] Record of First South Australian Battery on Active Service from October 18th, 1916 - October 17th, 1917... Drawn & designed by P.R. Wightman Sgt, 1st ANZAC Topo Sec, Belgium, 1917
London, Published for the 18th Battery AIF by Raphael Tuck and Sons, [1917].
A large poster (555 × 780 mm), printed lithographically in four colours.
The poster, mounted on flush-cut cardboard (strengthened on the verso with strips of cardboard along the vertical edges), is a little marked, with some stains, chips and slight loss (confined mainly to plain margins); overall a decent copy.
Despite its title, the greater part of this attractive poster is given over to a nominal roll of the men who served with the 18th Battery, attractively laid out within six cartouches in the shape of large-calibre shells. The names of those who have died, been wounded, or decorated are listed above; Battle Honours are listed on the left and right - and all of them are presented in a wonderful array of scrolls and banners, some against a background of flowering branchlets.
