A vintage albumen paper photograph (150 × 97 mm), mounted as issued on a plain silver-edged card; trifling signs of age; in very good condition.
A lengthy later inscription on the verso is very informative: 'Bert (here pictured)' and two siblings 'all lived in Sth Africa', and that Bert 'had a boy and a girl (Dennis & Moira). Dennis tragically shot thru' head when cleaning rifle (aged 21), Moira inherited fortune on her mother's side, a big Sth African biscuit-maker they said, & eventually married Avery (of Avery Scales)'.
