Kunsan, Korea, Office of Information Services ('Printed by Obun Printing Co., Tokyo'), 1954.
Quarto, iv, 28 pages with numerous illustrations (mostly from photographs, but the monochrome artwork is attributed to A/2C Nick Micolucci).
Flexible cloth-patterned papered card covers (lettered and decorated in gilt on the front panel) a little rubbed at the extremities and slightly marked; saddle-stapled contents cleanly detached from the cover; trifling signs of use and age; a very good copy.
An orientation booklet prepared for distribution to new arrivals at the USAF K-8 Air Base at Kunsan, South Korea. The 77th Squadron RAAF was also based there (see page 22, with three illustrations). 'Following the signing of the Korean Armistice Agreement on 27 July 1953, the squadron remained in South Korea on garrison duties - initially at Kimpo, later at Kunsan - until transferring to Iwakuni [Japan] on 12 October 1954' (Wikipedia). The front pastedown is signed by six American and eight Australian airforce personnel: Warrant Officer Jim Flemming, Flight Sergeant T.R. Manning, Sergeant W. Flynn, R. Sutherland, Hal Croft, Jack Klemm, Mark Blackburn, and J. Coffey.
