Light red cloth; spine slightly cockled and faded to orange; boards slightly bowed; a very good copy (internally excellent).
The illustrations are from photographs by W.H. Dudley Le Souef (they were originally published in his book, 'Wild Life in Australia', circa 1910). The author's sixth book, an account of his pre-WW1 mining days on 'the northern Peninsula goldfields' in the hinterland between Cairns and Cooktown.
