Contemporary half calf and marbled papered boards a little rubbed and scuffed with minor wear to the extremities and minor loss to the leather title-label on the spine; numerous annotations and emphases throughout the printed text, and contemporary manuscript notes on many of the interleaves; a very good copy.
Provenance: 'R.S.M Dawes October 1867. University College' in ink on an early blank, and the small embossed (and hand-coloured) armorial bookplate and embossed armorial blindstamp on the front endpaper. Richard St Mark Dawes later emigrated to South Australia and was an early medical practitioner in Gawler.
