An autograph postcard signed 'Dank und Gruss von H. Hesse'
The postcard (147 × 104 mm) reproduces a photograph of a bronze bust of Hesse by Hermann Hubacher; a couple of tiny marks to the recto, and trifling surface loss to the verso (from prior mounting); in excellent condition.
Undated, but perhaps the 'Thanks and greetings from H. Hesse' were called for after he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1946. Provenance: Collection of The Hon Barry Jones AC.
