[Dwarfs]

A carte de visite of Count Primo Magri (1849-1920), an Italian dwarf, and his wife, Lavinia Warren (1842-1919), also a dwarf, and the widow of fellow-dwarf General Tom Thumb

This albumen paper photograph (90 × 58 mm) is in excellent condition, on the original plain mount; details of the subjects are written in pencil on the verso. The Magri wedding took place on Easter Monday, 6 April 1885 at the Church of the Holy Trinity in New York City; this image would appear to be contemporary, and (the negative at least) of American origin.
