Loosely inserted is an autographed letter (dated 10 July 1996) to aviation historian David Vincent from Allan G. LeBaron (see page 247); not least of which relates to Chief Bannowsky, 'the Naval Aviation Pilot mentioned on page 34. Did you know that on one flight they were attacked by Zeros and apparently the order was given to bail out. As he was going aft to do that he found there were wounded aboard who couldn't jump, so he went back to the cockpit and flew the plane home.' Also loosely inserted are two sheets of printouts of email correspondence between Vincent and the son of veteran Ed Bergstrom (see pages 162, 164, 217 and 240).
