Title-wrappers lightly marked, with a few tiny edge tears to the rear cover; Holtze's second qualification on the front cover neatly amended (from 'F.R.S.' to 'F.R.G.S.'); tiny chip to the foot of the spine; the map has a clean sealed tear to the stub panel, and minute nibbling to the outer edge of one other panel; a light vertical crease and a light top corner crease throughout; last plate pulled slightly away from the staples; an excellent copy.

'Papers read before the Royal Geographical Society of Australasia, South Australian Branch': Parsons (16 pages), Holtze (5 pages), and two appendices: 'Extracts from the Report of the Curator of the Botanic Gardens, Palmerston' for 1888 (4 pages) and 1898 (2 pages).
