Oblong small quarto, [36] pages (including covers) with numerous illustrations (mainly from photographs) and 2 maps (showing POW camps in Germany and Italy).

Two-colour wrappers a little foxed; foot of the spine split; a tear to the leading edge of the first thirteen leaves steadily reduces in length from a maximum of 25 mm on the front cover (which is now sealed with tape on the verso); a very good copy.
