Light green cloth lettered in dark green; uncut bottom edges dyed green (as issued); contemporary ownership details (1941) written neatly on the front pastedown; a fine copy with the dustwrapper (with a colour plate mounted on the front panel) split cleanly along the length of the front hinge of, and sunned on, the spine.
'With an appreciation of the medium by Norman Lindsay and a biographical survey of the artist's life and works by Godfrey Blunden' (subtitle). The edition was limited to 1850 copies; production was interrupted by the war and the edition was completed in 1945 (a less appealing variant).
