Sydney, Walter J. Moulton, 1910.
Duodecimo, pages with a frontispiece portrait of Kitchener and advertisements of all but one verso.
Pictorial title-wrappers with advertisements on the other three panels; small stain to the bottom corner throughout (but negligible in most instances); scattered foxing (mainly to the first and last pages); minimal conservation to a few tiny edge tears; a decent copy of a rarity (Trove records just one copy, in the State Library of NSW).
'At the invitation of Prime Minister Alfred Deakin, Kitchener visited Australia in 1909 to inspect the existing state of defence preparedness of the Commonwealth, and advise on the best means of providing Australia with a land defence' (Monuments Australia). Lord Kitchener was Commander-in-Chief of the British Army at the time. His official engagements in Sydney in early 1910 were from January 5-10.
