Silver-pictorial cloth lightly marked and rubbed, very lightly worn at the extremities, with one corner bumped, and a very short sealed tear to the head of one spine; one front endpaper slightly marked; trifling signs of use and age (a very small stain to the verso of one plate and the bottom margin of the facing page; a smaller mark to the margin of another plate; and two tiny sealed tears to the bottom margin of a third plate); an excellent set.
The first volume contains a frontispiece portrait of the author, signed in ink 'Douglas Mawson' in the lower margin.
