Bradford, The Company, [circa 1910s?].
Tall octavo (approximately 235 × 150 mm), comprising five folding panels of samples of coloured silk thread (243 samples in all) mounted in a textured card folder. An index is mounted inside the front cover; information sheets about availability and suitability of shades are mounted on the verso of two of the panels.
The folder is slightly marked and rubbed, with a few bumps to the edges at the rear; the silk samples are in uniformly fine condition.
One of the printed information sheets states that 'All shades on this color card are stocked at Adelaide depot', establishing a clear Australian connection with what was in its time (and a very long time that was) the largest silk factory in the world.
