Sydney, Thomas Richards, Government Printer, 1866.

Foolscap folio, 105 pages plus 2 very large folding maps ('Plan of the Sow & Pigs Flats and Sixteen Feet Patch', 505 × 1005 mm; and 'Plan of Darling Harbour', 830 × 1125 mm).

Drop-title; small holes in the inner margins where stab-sewn when bound (now disbound), with secondary page numbers (1-106) stamped in the top corners; a fine copy.

New South Wales Parliamentary Paper 9-A of 1866. The Commission, headed by Commander Frederic William Sidney RN, was appointed to 'inquire and report on the present condition of the Harbour of Port Jackson, and particularly into the changes which have taken place in the depth of water in various parts of it, as well as to the effects produced by the sewerage of the city being discharged into the Harbour'. Curious to relate, fascinating; indeed, I found it hard to put down.
