Silver-pictorial cloth; rear cover of the first volume lightly marked and scuffed; a couple of light bumps to the edges of the second volume; pale blue top edges (an uncommon variant) now a little unevenly coloured; minor loss of silver to the front cover illustrations; essentially a near-fine set, and very hard to beat.
