Adelaide, Libraries Board of South Australia, 1964 [first and only edition].
Quarto, [iv], 123 pages with a few illustrations plus 19 plates and a loosely inserted folding map; taped to the rear pastedown a printed note from the publisher regarding Appendices 2 and 3, referred to but not included in the journal ('They were incomplete at the time of Mr Sheard's death').
Cloth slightly flecked and marked; top corners slightly bumped; map and endpapers a little tape-marked; flyleaves lightly offset; contemporary ownership details; a very good copy of a scarce book.
The map is neatly signed by the author. Lauri Sheard accompanied Charles Mountford as his assistant on an Adelaide University Field Expedition to Ernabella, the Musgraves, Mann Ranges, Ayers Rock and Mt Olga in June-October 1940.
