Stolne and Surreptitious Verses

Melbourne, Melbourne University Press, 1952.

Octavo, [x], 51, [16, blank], [2, list of subscribers] pages with woodcut illustrations by Helen Ogilvie.

Cloth slightly bumped at the corners, with the spine foxed and heavily sunned; a very good copy.

Number 137 of only 200 signed copies. This copy has three unpublished poems by the author written in ink in his hand on three of the blank pages at the rear. The poems are 'Inscription in the Grainger Museum', 'The DBC Poems - Inscription for Portrait' and 'Inscription for a "Bra-bar"'. A note to this effect is written on the front flyleaf (probably by a previous owner, one of the subscribers, Professor T. Hytten).
