A lot of the diversions involve hunting. Provenance: W.R. Crocker, with his name and ownership details (Azare, Nigeria, 1934) on the front free endpaper. Sir Walter Crocker (1902-2002), Australian diplomat, author and war veteran, served with the Colonial Administration Service in Nigeria (1930-34), and served as the Australian High Commissioner to India (1952-55 and 1958-62), and the Australian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya (1965-67).
