Gilt-decorated cloth slightly rubbed at the extremities, and slightly worn at the foot of the spine and in two spots on the rear cover (near the top corner, and near the head of the joint); corners slightly bumped; numerous relevant newspaper cuttings laid down on twelve pages (mainly preliminaries and endpapers) with associated discolouration of adjacent pages; cancelled Royal Geographical Society of South Australia stamp on the title page; a very good copy.
With the early ownership signature and bookplate of the noted South Australian collector, Dr Frederick Lucas Benham.
