Gilt-decorated cloth slightly rubbed at the extremities, and slightly worn at the foot of the spine and in two spots on the rear cover (near the top corner and the near the head of the hinge); corners slightly bumped; numerous relevant newspaper cutting laid down on twelve pages (mainly preliminaries and endpapers) with associated discolouration of adjacent pages; cancelled Royal Geographical Society of South Australia stamp on the title-page; a very good copy.
